Bio

Courtney started her athletic career in ski racing, where she skied for the US Development Ski Team and then for the University of Alaska Anchorage.

 

After two years ski racing for UAA, Courtney was recruited for the USA Skeleton Team. In the fall of 2002, she was named to the US Skeleton Nation Team. She has competed on the World Cup circuit, in the World Championships, and was alternate to the 2006 Olympic Games.

 

Cort retired from Skeleton in 2010.  Since then, she has served as the athlete representative for the US Bobsled and Skeleton Federation.

 

In 2013, her focus shifted to Olympic Weightlifting. Coach Michael Conroy took her under his wing. Under Coach Conroy’s coaching and guidance, Courtney has become a National lifter, qualifying for both USAW Nationals and The American Open.
